STAYING
SAFE

We regularly complete the NSPCC 'Speak Out' workshop to help young individuals equip themselves with the knowledge and understanding required to stay safe from abuse and neglect.

Speaking out is important because when we share our thoughts, opinions and even concerns, there are people who can help us. For example, children can use their own class-based well-being system (worry monsters/wellbeing baskets), or they can speak with their class teacher, Mrs Mason (our dedicated Pastoral and Mental Health lead), or their respective House Captains.

The House Captains receive regular training from Mr Francksen (the Designated Safeguarding Lead); their ultimate goal is to able to train children up themselves so that they feel empowered to 'Speak Out' should they feel they ever need to.

As part of this programme, children, from across the school, are regularly taught the ChildLine number.
